The Adamawa State government is set to commence the distribution of PAWECA forms across the 21 local government areas of the state before the end of the week, as part of efforts to strengthen small businesses and expand economic opportunities for residents.
Director General of PAWECA, Hon. Dr. Michael Zira, popularly known as Sarkin Yaki Michika, disclosed this while highlighting the programme’s expected impact on entrepreneurs and traders across the state.
According to him, more than 75,000 small business owners are expected to benefit from the initiative, which is projected to inject nearly N4 billion into the small-scale business sector in Adamawa State.
Zira described the programme as a major economic intervention aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs, boosting trade activities, and supporting business growth at the grassroots level.
He commended the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for what he described as consistent efforts toward improving livelihoods and expanding economic opportunities for citizens.
The PAWECA DG said the distribution exercise would cut across all 21 local government areas to ensure inclusiveness and wider participation among eligible beneficiaries.
He added that the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, which remain critical to job creation and economic development.
Residents and prospective beneficiaries are expected to begin accessing the forms in their respective local government areas once distribution officially commences later this week.
