Team Adamawa Emerge Champions At North-east Zonal Elimination For National Youth Games

Team Adamawa have emerged overall champions at the North-East Elimination Games ahead of the forthcoming National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

Insight Northeast reports that Adamawa secured the top spot after outstanding performances across multiple sporting events.

In basketball, the state’s male team clinched first position, while the female team finished second.

The state dominated the handball event, with both the male and female teams emerging winners.

In football, Adamawa recorded a convincing 5–0 victory over Borno State to finish first in the zone.

The beach volleyball teams also impressed, as the female squad claimed first place, while the male side finished second.

In cricket, Adamawa stamped their authority by securing the first position.

With these results, Team Adamawa emerged overall champions of the zonal elimination and sealed their qualification for the National Youth Games scheduled to hold later this month in Asaba.
