The All Progressives Congress in Gombe State has unveiled a full list of 24 consensus candidates for the State House of Assembly constituencies, following what it described as extensive consultations with stakeholders and party leaders.
The party said the move was part of efforts to strengthen internal cohesion, promote unity and position itself as a formidable force ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
According to the party, the candidates emerged through a consensus arrangement involving key stakeholders, senior figures and aspirants across the state.

The party commended all aspirants for their conduct during the process, noting that the outcome reflected a shared commitment to unity and peaceful engagement.
It stated that the consensus arrangement demonstrated the willingness of party members to put collective interest above individual ambitions, adding that such cooperation would strengthen its chances in the elections.
The APC also praised stakeholders for their maturity and cooperation, describing the exercise as a model for internal democracy and conflict resolution within the party.
