Adamawa Police Arrest 73 in Mubi Crackdown on Criminal Hideouts

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 73 suspects during a coordinated security operation targeting identified criminal hideouts in Mubi and surrounding communities.

The operation, carried out jointly with other security agencies, followed complaints from residents and intelligence reports indicating that some locations in the area had become safe havens for criminal activities.

Security operatives raided the identified black spots and dislodged suspects allegedly linked to drug-related offences, house-to-house robbery and other violent crimes as part of efforts to improve security across the state.

Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, said the command remained committed to protecting lives and property, stressing that no part of the state would be allowed to serve as a sanctuary for criminals.

Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, disclosed that the suspects are currently undergoing screening and investigation, adding that those found culpable would be charged to court in accordance with the law.

The command also commended residents for supporting security agencies with useful information and urged members of the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
