Taraba to Construct 60 Schools Across 16 LGAs – Gov. Kefas

The Taraba State Government has approved the immediate construction of 60 schools across the 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state to enhance access to quality education.

Governor Agbu Kefas made this known on Monday during a meeting with the School Building Committee at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House, Jalingo.

He emphasized that each school would be equipped with its own power source, necessitating collaboration with the Ministry of Energy to ensure adequate electricity supply.

“We are actively working on developing sufficient infrastructure for our educational institutions, alongside improvements to our roads and other areas,” Kefas said.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the education sector by providing modern learning facilities and creating a conducive environment for students and teachers.

Insight Northeast reports that the initiative is part of broader efforts by the state government to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of education in Taraba.
